For stains that are weeks or months old, a single spray is often insufficient. Apply Phoenix solution generously, cover with cling film, and leave to work for 4 to 8 hours. The film prevents evaporation, allowing the enzymes to work undisturbed deep within the stain. Then, remove the stain using a wet vacuum or spray extraction vacuum.

For mattresses with deep urine or sweat penetration: Generously spray Phoenix solution onto the affected area, DO NOT wipe it off. Cleaning upholstery — step by step
- Mixing: Dissolve 20 g of Phoenix granules in 1 liter of lukewarm water (35–40°C) in a pressure sprayer for 2 minutes.
- Pre-cleaning: Vacuum up coarse dirt (hair, crumbs, bits of debris). Remove loose dirt with a cloth.
- Material test: Test on an inconspicuous area first, especially on delicate fabrics (silk, untreated leather, high-quality natural fibers).
- Spray on: Spray Phoenix solution generously onto the stain and 5 cm beyond. For deep stains, saturate thoroughly, do not just dampen.
- Effects: 30 minutes for superficial stains, 4 to 8 hours for old markings (occlusion method with foil).
- Vacuuming or wiping afterwards: Vacuum with a wet vacuum cleaner or spray extraction vacuum cleaner — for small stains, also dab with a damp cloth.
